How to Install Old Versions of Revit
If you're wondering where to download old versions of Autodesk's design software, such as Revit, which are no longer available through their Products and Services portal, you can visit the Autodesk website and use the Autodesk Assistant. AVA can help you access previous versions of Revit that may not be readily available through the product and support center.
Autodesk policy is to support only the current year release (2024) and 3 previous years. (2023, 2022, & 2021). This means older versions of Revit, 2020 and earlier, do not receive support and therefore Autodesk removed their downloads from the Product and Services portal. We understand their decision to not support more than 4 concurrent versions of Revit, but burying the downloads to older versions which are regularily needed to work on legacy projects should be much more accessible.
Please follow our guide below to learn how to access and download older versions of Autodesk software.
