Digital Delivery Project Management for the AEC

Integrated Design was invited to speak at the Association of Project Management about how BIM and digitization is affecting project management.

A brief Case Study on the impact digital practice and delivery has on the project management functions for the delivery of Hong Kong International Schools recent redevelopment of the Repulse Bay Campus. We will examine the values and deliverables new digital methods have produced with references to Programmes, BIM, Laser Scanning, Construction Documentation, and Construction sequencing. The focus is how Building Information Models can and will be used as the effective means of design and construction project management for major capital and infrastructure projects. These models serve as the central database and project truth throughout the projects lifecycle, from planning, design, construction and operation to renovation. Without professionally developed and managed models from all stakeholders perspectives, current and future projects may become a risk to different contracting parties.
